Beloved Parents - Enthusiastic Makers

  I continually count my blessings.  One biggie was having two fabulous parents, Stan and Vallanee.  Both of them were enthusiatic makers.  They loved working with their hands be it in the garden, kitchen, workshop or sewing room.   When I returned to Wisconsin in 2001, one of the things we did was make quilts for all kinds of occasions.  Here you see my parents with a "cross" quilt.  The blocks are all classic quilt blocks.   We all chose the fabrics together.  Val and I sewed the blocks and then I quilted the piece on my home sewing machine....
